It was so much fun, and of course knowing us we have really no pictures because our camera is packed away on a moving truck. We are so excited to move to our house this week and wanted to mention to all of you BYU fans, that we are going to live just one short mile north of the stadium. We will have plenty of space since we have no furniture for our basement, and an extra bathroom, and would love it if anyone came for a visit.
Now that Adair is definitely settled into being two, she has really improved her language skills. Now everytime I hold her hand across the street she yells "get off me!" and the other day before she chucked a toy a my face she shouted "TASTE THIS".

My Baby's all Grown Up

We had a great little party for Adair, despite or homeless status, and can't believe she's two already. The other morning I found the two together in Adair's crib laughing and playing and a little disappointed that Mom had come to disrupt the fun. I think that one of the biggest joys I will experience as a mother will be to raise those two to be great friends. I have seriously been concerned that a third child might change their dynamic and even though every veteran mom will probably say it's foolish, I haven't quite made up my own mind on the matter. Anyways, Noah has some of the best names for Adair right now and less I forget here's a little list:

     1. Wheezing, coughing, and a couple puffs is nothing new for us this year. Perhaps she has inherited Peter's "baby asthma", or perhaps it was that time I painted the living room while 6 months pregnant. Whatever the cause I hope she outgrows this soon, or we just might have to transfer to a dryer and somewhat sunnier climate.

Grillin' Up Some Fun

I am under the impression that there are suspicions when a blog doesn't get updated in a few months. So to dispel any rumors that there might be another Boehme on the way, I thought I better update and update fast.....
Seattle spring is oddly looking like Seattle winter, and needless to say we're not off at the park everyday. No, it's more like we're cleaning underpants and trying to stay sane. We are still waiting to hear back from grad. schools or Utah jobs, and ask ourselves every night-"What's going to happen to us?" What wonders await us? an urban life or a gun and a pickup truck? And even though I am excited about new options, I am sad to think about leaving. So I won't and we should hopefully know next week.

Little Steve

My grandma Arlene sent up a bunch of pictures she took of Noah last year, because she thought he was starting to look a lot like my dad. Well, I've finally come to the conclusion that such an icky wall color must be gradually seeping into my subconcious and causing feelings of negativity and self-doubt. It is time for a change. Please comment on a better color choice if you have time, and the ajoining bedroom is a forrest green which further complicates my ability to make any paint decisions on my own. Because some days I feel like no one really knows me at all, even those who are suppose to know me best. So no funny misadventures with the kids this week, and definitely no exciting news to share except that I've been living with a crazed 3yr old who runs around screaming and peeing everywhere. and demanding every second of my day. and this makes me feel like a horrible mom because I just want to get in the car and drive away, or start a prescription drug habit to stay sane. And I feel like a hack in sweats everyday with no chance of escape. Why am I wondering about going back to school, or adding things to the short list of things that define me? I must be having some sort of midyear crisis, and hopefully I'll snap out of it soon.

So Sick Yet Still So Cute

Little Adair was so sick this past week, with Bronchitis and ear infections and chest x-rays and finally an allergic reaction to the antibiotics. I have been putting chocolate in his milk ever since then, and am now trying to wean him to regular milk once again. He is very physical-he likes to wrestle and push and jump on his Mom and Dad. The name of the hospital, how I was delivered by a resident, blah..blah...blah.....and I would always think, these people are ridiculous. But the other day, while Noah was busy turning three, all I could think about were the events leading up to his delivery. How I went grocery shopping earlier in the day with Noelle and she said "don't let those heavy bags send you into labor". How I cried in front of Candice because she denied us a parking spot in the Avalon Wynhaven lot. and then I sat up late finishing an alphabet wall hanging for your room, that I would never put up. And than...two hours later, in my sleep, my water broke, and Pete ran around in a Panic. Somehow, we didn't even know that if water broke a baby would be born and we left for the hospital without a bag, without a camera. I remember what I wore and the tsunami news on the TV and Pete passed out in the recliner while you were born. and i remember how tiny you were and that you didn't have any baby fat and that i was scared to take you home. and i remember crying for days after that and thinking you were going to die and that there was never going to be any relief. That I would never do anything without you, and that I would never want to do anything without you. Your past three years have been my whole life, you're alive and I'm alive, and I love you Noah.

Happy Anniversary

Love Poem for Pete

On Monday you were home by Noon,
got the ax a little too soon.
This year no more crazy shopping
like fancy watches
or Tiffany's boxes.
This year bitter but better
and sweet.
This time we are closer-I think.

Wednesday we celebrated our traditional "Space Needle" anniversary, with much thanks to Melynda for taking on the troublesome combination of Noah+Aubrey. I love my husband too, who is working so hard to make sure I feel like our lives are under control. Like her buttonish nose and her kissable cheeks, and her inability to say "no" to everything I ask. Oh it could be so wonderful, but then I think I would start to feel a little bad about the lack of Noah blogging, and all the ways he makes me laugh and cry. Today I went into the kitchen to make breakfast (put the frozen waffles in the toaster), and when I came back into the living room, Adair had moved across the room. "How did she get over there?" I asked Noah, "she went for a ride" he told me. I hope she had fun on this ride. For instance, you can now purchase a latte while waiting in line for your hayride, and pumpkins are available in large bins upon exiting the lot ( maybe in case you're not wearing the proper foot attire?). We did manage to pick the biggest pumpkins we could carry along with two kids. Just thought we'd add some of our favorite photos.

Just Hangin' Out

Lately there have been a few concerns about the lack of activity on this blog. So before you write us off completely, let me update you on our most recent of happenings. This month has been a whirlwind of activity, with Pete and Noah heading off to Utah for a week and Lindsay having to readjust to having them come back home. Noah got to meet his great-grandpa Boehme, and learned how to catch a fish outside of the bath tub. Pete got to relive his Logan days with trips to Angie's, Garts and the Movie's 4, but is quickly realizing that Logan perhaps isn't the place for us. Most importantly though, Lindsay got to be partly alone for over 5 days and they were days filled with crafting and shopping and reading and watching cosby show reruns. So what are we up to for the rest of the month? getting ready for Halloween,Pete's big 30th, and just hangin' out!

A First Kiss

It is scary how much Noah grew the night Adair was born. When I saw him the next day in the hospital he was huge, and so were his diapers. We brought a baby home and suddenly he was so opinionated and dare I say a little bit aggressive. After two months he's finally starting to realize that Adair is not going back from where she came, and that we decided not to name her Kate. And so my journey into motherhood times two has begun, and things are finally returning to a new state of normalcy. Obviously I'm able to neglect my kids to join in on the blogging trend, especially since I've redone this first post three times. But I'm excited to share news with all our friends and family, just as soon as something actually happens. Until then........................

Little Baby Sister

On June 13th our little Adair was born, weighing 7lbs. 1 oz. and a whole 19 inches long. An hour and a half after checking into the hospital she was delivered, and because she came so quickly she was sent straight to the nursery for observation. This meant that mom had to wait a whole three hours before she could finally hold her little girl. Looking back though, everything went well and a shorter labor was definitely the way to go. Noah loves his baby sister on most days now, and has finally come to the realization that she is here to stay. I am finally getting into a better routine with my two babies, and can say with more certainty that I love being a mommy.
