A Little UpDate

We just got back from a fabulous trip to Southern California, Disneyland, SeaWorld the Zoo the beach....yes, you can do that sort of thing when you're unemployed and homeless. It was so much fun, and of course knowing us we have really no pictures because our camera is packed away on a moving truck. We are so excited to move to our house this week and wanted to mention to all of you BYU fans, that we are going to live just one short mile north of the stadium. We will have plenty of space since we have no furniture for our basement, and an extra bathroom, and would love it if anyone came for a visit.
Now that Adair is definitely settled into being two, she has really improved her language skills. Now everytime I hold her hand across the street she yells "get off me!" and the other day before she chucked a toy a my face she shouted "TASTE THIS".

My Baby's all Grown Up

We had a great little party for Adair, despite or homeless status, and can't believe she's two already. Her favorite part of the day was her Cinderella cake, which she enjoyed eating and talking to. Adair is such a sweet little girl, who loves to play with her brother and her dollhouse. Her voice and her check squeezes and her animal noises are to die for, and without her my days wouldn't be so lovely. Happy Birthday Adair! We love you.

It's A Miracle

Can you believe it?
Maybe not.
Maybe it's too good to be true
and maybe it was just a little moment
in one babies life, but not
when she's nearly 2.
Not when she's been dragging her bottom for months
and you've been praying for the day that she'd finally walk!

A Boy's Life

Noah's had it pretty lucky so far, I'd say. I mean he does almost nothing around the house, and demands everything. He's got me on an unacceptable early morning schedule and refuses to eat anything but apple juice and hot cocoa. He runs around screaming and wrestling, and the other day my neighbor caught him peeing off of our upstairs balcony into the bushes below. How he thought this was acceptable I do not know. I guess we'll all be looking forward to the first day of school next week, maybe 2 1/2 hours isn't going to be long enough after all.

Party Girl

Happy First Birthday Adair!
and the highlight of my day is seeing her react;
seeing her show happiness and her little squeals of excitement at all the attention.
Simple emotions portrayed in a one year old little girl.
and having her be happy makes me happy.
plus i made her her very own little pink cake with strawberry frosting,
which she thought was the most delicious thing ever.

Nothing melts my icy exterior like seeing Noah and Adair enter a happier stage of sibling contentment. It seems like I am spending a little less of my daily energy prying Noah off of her face, or his arm around her neck in a choke hold. The other morning I found the two together in Adair's crib laughing and playing and a little disappointed that Mom had come to disrupt the fun. I think that one of the biggest joys I will experience as a mother will be to raise those two to be great friends. I have seriously been concerned that a third child might change their dynamic and even though every veteran mom will probably say it's foolish, I haven't quite made up my own mind on the matter. Anyways, Noah has some of the best names for Adair right now and less I forget here's a little list:

1. Mine Mimi
2. Mine Flappy
3. Gary the Snail
4. Wah Wah (for when she cries)
5. Sist
6. Sistie

Baby Inhaler

Adair Boehme has a bit of a breathing problem, and it seems like with every little cold she ends up getting a few shots of the baby inhaler. Wheezing, coughing, and a couple puffs is nothing new for us this year. Perhaps she has inherited Peter's "baby asthma", or perhaps it was that time I painted the living room while 6 months pregnant. Whatever the cause I hope she outgrows this soon, or we just might have to transfer to a dryer and somewhat sunnier climate.
