Love Poem for Pete
On Monday you were home by Noon,
got the ax a little too soon.
This year no more crazy shopping
like fancy watches
or Tiffany's boxes.
This year bitter but better
and sweet.
This time we are closer-I think.
Wednesday we celebrated our traditional "Space Needle" anniversary, with much thanks to Melynda for taking on the troublesome combination of Noah+Aubrey. I love the Space Needle at Christmas time, you get to rotate around the city and water and see all the Christmas lights. I love my husband too, who is working so hard to make sure I feel like our lives are under control. Pete was laid off on Monday (a big Merry Christmas from Wamu), and so change is definitely on the horizon. Not to worry though, both sets of Grandparents have offered up their basements. and although I hate to have to sell our home, I would really hate to leave Seattle.

I Have Been Tagged Twice so I will comply
A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
5 Things I was doing 10 years ago...............
I think I better only admit to one thing I was doing ten years ago, and that was finishing my first semester at Purdue University.
5 Things on my to-do list today:
Pick up the Santa photos at the mall for a possible Christmas card photo
Write Pete a love poem for our 5th Anniversary tonight
Finish Christmas gifts for friends and family
Go to the Fred Meyer to buy items for a Holiday Dessert that I have never made but will attempt to take to a party and expect it to be delicious.
Return our overdue Library books
5 Snacks I enjoy:
Chips and Salsa
Hot Cocoa
Cold Stone: Sinless Sweet Cream with Almonds and Fudge
Diet Coke
Ruffles KC Masterpiece BBQ Chips
4 Things I would do if I was a Billionaire
Buy a house next door to Oprah
Be a Philanthropist
Finally get Pete his flat screen TV
Become a Real Housewife of Orange County
3 of my BAD Habits
Sarcasm
I'm Addicted to Diet Coke (not everyday)
I enjoy watching ridiculous shows like the Real Housewives of Orange County
5 Places I have Lived:
Denver, Colorado (birth to age 10)
Fresno, California (10-12)
South Bend, Indiana (12-21)
Logan, Utah (21-23)
Issaquah, Washington (23-Now)
5 Jobs I have Had:
Hostess at a Mexican Restaurant ( I came home every night smelling like a fajita)
Cashier at Best Buy ( I got fired from this one)
Baker (this was my favorite job of all time)
Caterer at Utah State University (this was the worst job of all time)
Mom (this would be my second favorite job of all time)
5 Things people don't know about me:
I will go ahead and post 4 truths and 1 lie, that way you will never know for sure, okay.
I once was a strict Vegetarian for 7 Years, and than I met Pete.
I usually have to learn things the hard way. An unrelated example of this might be if one were to get a tattoo costing $50 and 10 years later paid $1000 to have it removed.
I embarrass myself on a daily basis, but am learning to laugh at myself more and more.
My kids give me a sense of self, and self confidence that I have never had before.
I have a record collection in my coat closet that I refuse to get rid of even though I no longer have a record player.
and now I will tag Shelly, Heidi, Elisa, Rachel and Sarah. or maybe I won't.

Thanksgiving
I forgot to post this picture of Noah at the "kid table" on Thanksgiving this year. Oddly enough, I was only recently invited to the "adult table". I wonder why this is?

Picture Practice
I am having these two practice their best holiday poses, hoping I will capture something cute for this years Christmas card. Noah does not care much for holding Adair so this makes things difficult. Right after this picture was taken he sort of dropped her on her face.

Button Nose
I could post a cute picture of Adair everyday, and write about all her wonderful baby qualities. Like her buttonish nose and her kissable cheeks, and her inability to say "no" to everything I ask. Oh it could be so wonderful, but then I think I would start to feel a little bad about the lack of Noah blogging, and all the ways he makes me laugh and cry. Today I went into the kitchen to make breakfast (put the frozen waffles in the toaster), and when I came back into the living room, Adair had moved across the room. "How did she get over there?" I asked Noah, "she went for a ride" he told me. I hope she had fun on this ride. Maybe I shouldn't leave those two alone for a while.

Pumpkining
So we made it out last weekend on our annual trip to Remlinger Farms, and this year the farm was bigger and better than ever. For instance, you can now purchase a latte while waiting in line for your hayride, and pumpkins are available in large bins upon exiting the lot ( maybe in case you're not wearing the proper foot attire?). We did manage to pick the biggest pumpkins we could carry along with two kids. Just thought we'd add some of our favorite photos.

Just Hangin' Out
Lately there have been a few concerns about the lack of activity on this blog. So before you write us off completely, let me update you on our most recent of happenings. This month has been a whirlwind of activity, with Pete and Noah heading off to Utah for a week and Lindsay having to readjust to having them come back home. Noah got to meet his great-grandpa Boehme, and learned how to catch a fish outside of the bath tub. Pete got to relive his Logan days with trips to Angie's, Garts and the Movie's 4, but is quickly realizing that Logan perhaps isn't the place for us. Most importantly though, Lindsay got to be partly alone for over 5 days and they were days filled with crafting and shopping and reading and watching cosby show reruns. So what are we up to for the rest of the month? getting ready for Halloween,Pete's big 30th, and just hangin' out!
